Overturned Vehicle on Worsham Road

On May 23rd, 2012 at 8:16am, Hampden-Sydney Fire and EMS were dispatched to a report of an overturned vehicle with injuries. A U.S. Mail carrier called in and reported the car overturned, with a female patient laying in the roadway, complaining of stomach pains. Prince Edward Rescue 10 was also assigned to the call. Engine 2-2 arrived on scene and established Command. Hampden-Sydney 204(1Lt. Gordon) reported a single vehicle overturned, blocking the roadway. The patient was loaded and transported via Rescue 10, where they called for an available helicopter to transport to a different facility. Scene was marked under control, and all units cleared at 9:21am. Thanks to Evan Jones from Southside Messenger for the photograph.
